Carla Handford

Hi I’m Carla, a 3rd year medicine student and the Chairperson of ExVac this year. ExVac is such an incredible charity, and it is so great to be part of such a passionate team, dedicated to providing THE best week for the children. As Chairperson, I aim to maintain and strengthen alumni and donor relations this year, and am particularly excited about starting our termly ExVac newsletter. I also assist in overseeing the work of the charity, and want to increase ExVac’s outreach into the Oxford community this year. I will be organising and hosting the Annual General Meeting, which will be a great time for everyone involved in ExVac to come together and recognise its important impacts.

I have absolutely loved being part of ExVac and going on holidays, and am so excited to continue being involved this year. To see the children having fun, smiling and laughing, becoming more confident (and cheekier) throughout the week, is such as special experience and something I am very honoured to have been part of. I am so grateful that our college has such a wonderful charity, which gives the children a chance to go on a holiday, something they may have never done before, and make many happy memories.
